Vehicle Security During Cold Mornings

With the colder weather and frosty mornings, please be reminded not to leave your vehicle unattended with the keys inside while it is defrosting.

Opportunist thieves can take advantage of vehicles left running on driveways or outside homes, often stealing them in a matter of seconds.

Crime Prevention Advice:

Never leave your keys in the ignition while your vehicle is unattended.

Stay with your vehicle whilst it is defrosting.

Use a windscreen cover overnight to reduce frost build-up.

Ensure all doors and windows are secure before leaving your vehicle.

Keep all spare keys stored safely inside your home and out of sight.

Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to Staffordshire Police via 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Together we can help prevent vehicle thefts in our community.
