#SafeAndSound | Today, officers in Cannock have been involved in the search for two separate missing people, both of whom were living with dementia.
Thanks to a coordinated effort involving officers, partner agencies and members of the public, both individuals were located safe and well and have now been reunited with their families.
We know how distressing it can be when a loved one goes missing, particularly for those living with dementia or memory-related conditions. We'd like to thank everyone who assisted with enquiries and remained vigilant throughout the searches.
💙 Do you have a friend or relative living with dementia?
We would encourage you to set up a free Herbert Protocol (Safe & Sound) account. The scheme allows important information about a vulnerable person to be recorded in advance, helping police and partners respond more quickly and effectively if they are reported missing. Having this information readily available can save valuable time and greatly assist searches.
