Trentham and Hanford - Burglary and attempted burglaries Allerton Rd/The Meadows and Police Street Surgeries

Good afternoon everyone, 

I hope you all had a nice bank holiday weekend. 

Please find towards the bottom of this e-mails the times, dates and locations of upcoming Police Street Surgeries. 

My apologies if I missed anyone at last weeks surgery at Briarbank Cl, I was unable to attend due to supporting colleagues with an incident at Park Hall. I have re-scheduled this surgery for later this week, details are below.

Burglary and attempted Burglaries – Allerton Rd/The Meadows

We have received a report of a burglary and an attempted burglary that occurred at two addresses on Allerton Rd on 28/08/26. 

Officers attended Allerton Rd following a report of an attempted burglary, which took place at approximately 02:42am. 

On arrival, officers came across a number of individuals in the vicinity of the attempted burglary, that made off from them. Two were detained, their details obtained and an illegal e-bike they had use of was seized. 

An investigation into any potential links between these individuals and this incident(s) are continuing. 

No access to the address was made and nothing was reported stolen or damaged at this time. 

Following enquiries today (01/09/26), I visited another address on Allerton Rd, where access to the property appears to have been made via an insecure window. 

Nothing was reported as stolen or damaged at this time. 

The two incidents occurred between the two blue arrows on this map. 

We have also received a report that at 02:39am on 28/08/2026 an attempted Burglary took place at an address on The Meadows. 

A suspect approached the property, tried the door handle and walked off. 

Nothing has been reported as stolen or damaged at this time.

Today myself and a colleague have attended Allerton Rd and The Meadows to complete scene enquries, speak to victims and a number of properties in both streets were visited to pass on crime prevention advice.
