Appeal after aggravated shop theft |

Do you recognise this man? We would like to speak to him in connection with an aggravated theft from a shop in Birches Head. We were called at 8.10am yesterday (Thursday 18 June) to a shop on Birches Head Road. A man had taken alcohol to the exit when confronted by the shopkeeper. The suspect then showed the shopkeeper a knife before taking the alcohol without paying at around 7.30am. The suspect is described as being white, in his late teens or early twenties, of a slim to medium build, around 5ft 8ins tall, with light brown facial hair. He had his hood up and was wearing a distinctive green jacket with light green camouflage patches on the forearms, chest and hood. He was also wearing black tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and a black cross-body bag. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the store at the time of the theft.
