Good evening everyone,
I hope you all are having a good week.
Today is my first day back after my days off and I will be on duty now for the next 6 days.
Please find towards the bottom of this e-mail the list of dates, times and locations for the Police Street Surgeries that will be taking place over the next 6 days.
Last week surgeries were completed at Janson St, Cardigan Gr, Delamere Gr, Girsby Cl and Omega Way.
Today (18/06/26) a Police street surgery was completed at Abingdon Way.
Please note there has been a time change to the surgery at Timor Grove tomorrow (18/06/26), which I have listed below**.
Staffordshire Smart Alerts – Appeals.
Burglary – A34/Stone Rd We have received a report that between 14:30pm on 13/06/26 and 10:40am on 15/06/26 a residential property was broken into. The suspect(s) gained entry through a window and stole property. The incident occurred between the two lines on this map.
If anyone has any CCTV, Ring doorbell or any other information which may help our enquires, please call 101 quoting serial 224 of 15/06/26 – thank you.
Suspicious incident – Camberwell Gr We have received a report that on 17/06/26 at approximately 02:12am, 3 males were seen acting suspiciously in Camberwell Gr. The males arrived in a black Audi, walked to the end of the street and headed towards the canal. They returned to their vehicle shortly after, leaving in a currently unknown direction. No attempts to interfere with property appeared to have been made and nothing at present has been reported as damaged or stolen. We have made good progress with this investigation and enquiries on ongoing. Should anyone have an any CCTV, Ring doorbell or any other information which may help our enquires, please reply to this message and I will be in touch – thank you.
We Knocked To Check You Locked
Today I completed home visit to all addresses in Camberwell Gr for crime prevention visits, encouraging residents to ensure their vehicles and properties are locked and secured.
Patrols – Burrington Dr
As per my last e-mail re concerns of underage drinking in and around Burrington Dr and in the woods nearby. Last week I completed patrols on 11/06/26, 12/06/26 and 13/06/26 in and around Burrington Dr. I was happy to report that other than some very muddy boots, I came across no issues during these patrols. Moving forward I am going to ensure that patrols are completed of these locations frequently throughout the summer period.
School Patrols Following being contacted by residents reporting concerns re school parking in the vicinity of Jubilee Rd - on 11/06/26 I completed a patrol of this location. Whilst present I noticed the Council’s parking enforcement team were also present.
The enforcement team did witness a vehicle stopping and collecting from the yellow zig zags, which I believe they are taking enforcement action re this. I have also been informed that the parking enforcement team have been seen today (18/06/26) in and around The Lea.
School crossing – Ash Green Academy I am continually looking at ways that we can make the school run safer for children and their families. Last week I wrote to Highways to ascertain if we could look at a school crossing/zebra crossing for The Lea. I have sent this map to Highways, highlighting the two areas where I often see a high footfall in children and families crossing the road.
I am unsure of the process or the criteria that needs to be met – however I have highlighted how busy and congested The Lea becomes - Should I get any further updates I will let you know.
Please note that if you are struggling to find suitable parking during the school run, the Toby Carvery carpark can be used.
Mobile phone found
A member of the public has made me aware that they have found this mobile phone, I believe on Pacific Rd. If you have any information that may help get the phone back to its owner, please reply to this message and I will be In touch.
Reports to the Council
Whilst on patrol I spotted a pothole developing on Eastwick Cr, which I have reported to the council today via www.stoke.gov.uk
Neighbourhood Watch update
I have today applied for a new neighbourhood watch zone, to which I will update you all next week when hopefully it is approved. I am also hoping that next week I will be able to put up the Neighbourhood Watch signs in the new zone that was created on the Meadow Lane estate.
