We are seeking information to identify individuals persistently riding off-road motorbikes in the fields off Thorneyfields Lane (accessed via Norfolk Way) and the Hyde Lea area of Stafford.
The latest report was received on Saturday 30th May at approximately 16:30hrs whereby three off-road motorbikes were seen on fields accessed via the public footpath off Norfolk Way.
Enquiries are ongoing, and action will be taken against those involved.
Using off-road motorbikes in these areas is illegal and dangerous, putting the public and riders at risk. Those riding or using these bikes may also be committing further offences when on public roads or footpaths, including:
- No driving licence - No insurance - No vehicle tax
Where appropriate, individuals may also be issued with a Section 59 warning under the Police Reform Act 2002, and vehicles used in an anti-social manner can and will be seized.
