Appeal after child's new bike stolen

We are appealing for information after a child's new bike was stolen in Burton-on-Trent.

We were called at 5.30pm on Sunday (10 May) to Horninglow Road North following reports of a robbery.

A 13-year-old boy reported that a group of young men approached him and his friend while they were playing outside.

The group then surrounded the boys, before pushing the victim and stealing his bike, making off towards Shobnall Park and the nearby canal.

The bike is described as a dark grey Trek mountain bike, with the word Trek on it, in green.

The suspects are described as white and Asian young men, each wearing grey and black tracksuits.
