Brewood Village ASB |
||
|
We have received reports from residents in Brewood Village of groups of young people riding bikes in an inconsiderate manner, including riding at speed, weaving around pedestrians and deliberately scaring residents. While cycling itself is not a problem, behaviour that causes alarm, distress or puts others at risk is not acceptable and may be classed as anti‑social behaviour (ASB). Parents and guardians – please talk to your childrenWe ask parents and carers to speak with their children about riding bikes safely and respectfully, particularly in residential areas, near elderly residents and on pavements. What does the law say?What may happen if the behaviour continues?Police and PCSOs may: We want to resolve this through engagement and education, not enforcement, and encourage everyone to help keep Brewood a safe and pleasant place to live. If you have concerns or information, please report it via Staffordshire Smart Alert or by calling 101 (always dial **999 in an emergency). Thank you for your cooperation.
