Off road bikes on Cannock Chase

Off‑road motorbikes and other mechanically propelled vehicles are not permitted on Cannock Chase except on public roads. Police and the Council have installed warning signs across the chase and Section 59 powers allow officers to seize vehicles used illegally or in an anti‑social manner.

These vehicles pose risks to the public and cause environmental damage, including erosion, disturbance to wildlife, and harm to protected habitats.

We are working with local residents to help target offenders. 

There are numerous legal and local off-road/motor cross locations available so if you would like to keep your bike these are the best option.
