Appeal following break-in

We are appealing for information following a burglary in Stoke-on-Trent.

At 3.15am yesterday (Tuesday 3 February), we received a report that a man had forced entry into a chip shop on Ford Green Road, Smallthorne.

Nothing has been taken but a till and plastic screen inside the shop were damaged and glass in the front door had been smashed.

Officers went to the scene and carried out local enquiries and examined CCTV.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a black hoody and cargo-style trousers.

He was seen walking down an alleyway at the side of the building.
