Suspicious Activity Reported Burntwood

We are aware of reports of an unknown individual trying car door handles and entering vehicles in the Nightingale Walk and Selwyn Road areas of Burntwood. These incidents are believed to have taken place overnight.

On each occasion, the person has been seen gaining entry to unlocked vehicles and sitting inside for a short period of time before leaving. At this stage, it is not clear whether anything has been stolen.

What you can do:

Please ensure your vehicle is locked and that windows are fully closed.

Remove valuables or keep them out of sight.

Check any CCTV, Ring doorbells or dash cameras for suspicious activity.

Report any suspicious behaviour to us via 101, or 999 in an emergency.

Officers will be conducting reassurance patrols in the area. We ask anyone with information to please call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote serials 120 25/01/2026 or 0139 25/01/2026.
