#RuttingSeason | As autumn rolls in, so does deer mating season — also known as the rut — which typically peaks between the end of September and end of November. During this time, deer are more active, unpredictable, and likely to wander onto roads, especially during dawn and dusk. 🦌🍂  

What happens:

🔸 Bucks chase does across fields, woodlands, and unfortunately, roads. Their focus isn’t on traffic—it’s on mating.

🔸 Deer-related crashes spike during this season, often causing serious vehicle damage, injuries, or worse.

🔸 If you see one deer, there’s a good chance more are nearby. Slow down and stay alert.

Tips to Stay Safe:

🔹 Reduce your speed and be ready to stop suddenly.

🔹  Drive carefully during early morning and evening hours.

🔹 Don’t swerve—brake firmly and stay in your lane.

🔹 Use high beams when safe to spot deer eyes reflecting light.

🔹 Be extra cautious near wooded areas, farmland, and places with deer crossing signs.
