Teenager arrested after more than 100 cannabis plants found

A teenager has been jailed after officers found more than 100 cannabis plants inside a property in Stoke-on-Trent.

Eraldo Daci, 18, of no fixed address, was sentenced to seven months behind bars at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday (18 June) after he pleaded guilty to cultivating cannabis plant, a class B controlled drug at an earlier hearing.

On Tuesday 8 May 2025, we were called to Weston Road, Meir, following reports of cannabis growing at the property.

Officers attended the scene and seized 107 cannabis plants and two mobile phones.

We’re working closely with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to target cannabis grows in council properties, privately rented homes and empty commercial buildings to combat the negative impact the drug has on people.
