Officers from Cannock NPT have joined forces with the Community Safety Officers (CSOs) at Staffordshire Fire Service to help prevent wildfires across Staffordshire this summer. 

The officers, from Cannock & Rugeley as well as the Fire Service and Environment Agency will be patrolling a number of key hot spot areas to offer advice and support to the public. 

The areas to be patrolled are Hednesford Hills, Etching Hill mount and Marquis Drive in Cannock, amongst others.

Last week, the team identified a family using a disposable BBQ in grassland on Essex Bridge near Great Haywood, with officers and CSO’s giving the man appropriate advice.
