Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service

One for the diary  - On Friday 6th June 2025 14:30 - 15:30 myself and staff from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service will be attending the Trentham Community Library, Allerton Rd, ST4 8PQ to give advice to residents and visitors about keeping safe in their homes. 

Everyone is invited and we look forward to seeing you there!!

Don't worry if you cannot make this date, we will be looking to do more in the future. 

If you cannot make this date and you would like me to ask any questions to the Fire and Rescue Service on your behalf please let me know.

Trading Standards 

This week I have put a resident in touch with Trading Standards following very poor service from Cold Callers. Trading Standards have provided myself with the below contact details should anyone wish to make contact with them.

Citizens Advice consumer helpline: 0808 223 1133 

Cold Callers - If you do have any concerns regarding Cold Caller(s) please do report this to the Police via 101 (non-emergency) and 999 (emergency). This will help ensure that concerns are both recorded and responded to promptly.

ASB updates - 

This week I have made and are continuing to make enquiries into a motorbike seen driving in an anti-social manner along Werburgh Dr and a vehicle seen driving at Speed in the Trentham area. Please do continue to report these issues to the Police by calling 101 (non-emergency) and 999 (emergency). Non-emergency incidents can also be reported by visiting Home | Staffordshire Police

Community Speed watch 

This week I have delivered a number of ‘sign up’ applications for ‘Community Speed watch’ to residents and we will soon be arranging training for the new members. If anyone would like to take part in ‘Community Speed watch’ for the Trentham & Hanford area, please let me know. 

Report to the Council 

This week I spoke to a resident who mentioned to me concerns about the condition of the pavement along Delamere Grove and the concerns elderly residents could fall when walking. On 08/05/2025 I made a report to the Council regarding this. 

Police Street Surgeries

TONIGHT (09/05/25) there will be a Street Surgery at Longton Rd (Junction with Stuart Ave) 18:30 - 18:45 

Parking concerns on Hazeldene Road have been raised to myself. 

Therefore tomorrow (10/05/2025) 14:30 - 14:45 there will be a Police Street Surgery at Hazeldene Road. If any residents would like to discuss any concerns, issues or would just like to say hello, I hope to see you there!

Residents have also reported parking concerns during event days at Paddock Rise. During the course of my duty tomorrow I will be ensuring that a patrol is made to look into the issues. 

VE Day

Whilst on patrol yesterday I saw this fantastic display on Burrington Dr, celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE day.
