Protest route in Shenstone ahead of planned demonstration on Saturday (26 April)

We’re giving local residents prior notice of a planned route that is due to be taken by protestors in the area tomorrow (Saturday 26 April).

We are aware of the planned protest which will start in Main Street and finish on Lynn Lane, as shown in the map attached.

On the day, you will see lots of officers in the village and local area to keep people safe and to respond to any concerns.

We are aware of speculation that thousands of protestors might come along. While we don’t have a confirmed number at this stage, we do not expect attendance to be anywhere near that scale. We expect the event will be peaceful, but we will take action against anyone who commits criminal offences.

We completely understand the tension that ongoing protests are causing within the community, and we want to reassure you that we are working hard to reduce the impact on local life.

On the day, we will share updates on Smart Alert to keep you informed about what is happening and to respond to any concerns.
