Easter Sunday turned out to be a busy day for Staffordshire Road Crime Team in Tamworth. A Nissan Micra and white Ford Transit were both stopped then seized on Watling Street after checks revealed they were being driven without insurance. Another Nissan Micra was stopped and seized from Albert Road after checks revealed the vehicle was being driven without insurance and the driver did not have a valid licence. All drivers dealt with accordingly for documents offences. The team also stopped a white Mercedes Sprinter on Ventura Park following concerns for the manner of driving. The 53 year old male driver, from Bristol, was arrested for drink driving. He was further arrested for failing to provide a sample in custody. He has since been released on bail. ![]()
