Burglary in Derwent Place, Cross Heath


We are appealing for any CCTV, doorbell camera, or any other footage following a burglary at a residential shed on Derwent Place, Cross Heath. 

The incident occurred overnight on 12/04/2025 during which unknown individuals forced entry into a resident’s shed and stole items of value and was reported to Staffordshire Police on 13/04/2025.

 

We are asking residents in the area to check any CCTV, doorbell cameras, or dashcams for suspicious activity between 0400am - 0500am on 12/04/2025

 

Shed and Outbuilding Security Advice:

 

  • Always lock sheds, garages, and outbuildings with a strong padlock or deadbolt.
  • Consider fitting an alarm or motion-activated lighting.
  • Keep valuable tools and equipment out of sight, and where possible, securely chained or locked inside.
  • Mark or register tools and machinery using a property marking service such as SmartWater or Immobilise.
  • Report any suspicious activity in your area to the police promptly.
