Concerns have recently been raised in regards to vehicles frequently parking up and using illegal substances in the area of Barlaston. On the evening of 8th April 2025, local officers carried out targeted patrols; four vehicles were searched under The Misuse of Drugs Act along with 7 individuals. A quantity of cannabis, cocaine and nitrous oxide was seized and investigations are ongoing. They were also instructed to clean up the litter from the location. Community Protection Notice Warnings are in the process of being issued which will prohibit the individuals from entering Barlaston. Please ensure that any suspicious behaviour, crime and anti-social behaviour is reported to the police as we are keen to take positive action where possible.
