To help prevent further incidents, please consider the following crime prevention advice:

  • Use a faraday bag or box – Store your car keys in a faraday bag or signal-blacking box to prevent criminals from amplifying the key’s signal to access your vehicle.
  • Keep keys away from doors and windows – Position your keys in a secure location, far from entry points, to minimise the risk of signal interception.
  • Disable the keyless Entry Signal – If your vehicle allows it, deactivate the keyless entry feature when not in use.
  • Install Physical Deterrents – Use steering wheel locks or wheel clamps to provide visible security and deter opportunistic thieves.
  • Upgrade Vehicle Security – Consider fitting a tracker or immobiliser to enhance your vehicles security and aid recovery in the event of a theft.
  • Thank you for your time
