ARREST; Yesterday, Monday 20th January, at around 10pm, we were made aware of an attempted vehicle theft in Etching Hill in Rugeley.

The offender was disturbed by the homeowners and made off in a vehicle. Officers, who were dispatched immediately, located the vehicle shortly after and attempted to pull it over however it failed to stop. Following a pursuit, the vehicle was essentially stopped, a male was tasered and arrested. The male also provided a positive drug swipe.

The vehicle that was stopped was also found to be stolen so has been recovered.
