Take simple measures this Christmas to keep you and your property safe.

In your car:

·  Remove all items from your car.

·  Don’t advertise what you’ve bought by leaving shopping on view. 

·  Store items in the boot and make sure it’s locked.

At home:

·  Lock doors and windows even if you’re ‘just popping out’

·  If storing presents in sheds or garages make sure they are kept secure.

·  Keep presents out of view, away from prying eyes

·  When presents have been opened, take the packaging to the tip rather than leaving it out with the dustbin to avoid advertising you have a new TV, bike or other new products

Out and about

·  Keep wallets, purses and phones safe and out of sight

·  Always shield your PIN from prying eyes.
