TAMWORTH MEMORY CAFE

Yesterday afternoon our PCSOs attended the Memory Cafe ran at @HeartofTamworthCommunityProject in conjunction with @DementiaFriends and Home Instead.

Our PCSOs handed out theft-deterrent accessories such as purse bells & cables, signed a number of people up to Smart Alert - our free digital messaging system - and educated new members on The Herbert Protocol.

Attendees were also treated to a great musical performance from Tamworth Ukulele Band and even a visit from the big man in red.

The Tamworth Memory Cafe runs every Tuesday from 10:30 - 12:30 at Sacred Heart Church, Silver Link Road, Glascote, B77 2EA. It offers a place where people living with dementia, and their carers, can get together in a supportive, friendly environment with others in similar circumstances. Each week offers different activities such as painting, singing and dancing as well as having guest services or performers in.
