With Halloween creeping up, we wanted to share some safety advice for parents, carers and guardians to ensure your lil’ ghouls have a fang-tastic time:

👻 Advise them to stay in well-lit, public areas – avoid short cuts through gardens, alleyways and parks

👻 Encourage them to have bright costumes or wear reflective strips so they can be seen by drivers when crossing the roads

👻 Make sure they stay with a responsible adult and that they only go to houses of people that they know and who are happy for them to visit

👻 Remind them to respect ‘No trick or treat’ signs 

👻 Talk to them about anti-social behaviour and that it is not acceptable to scare elderly or vulnerable people, or to throw eggs and flour.
