Do you recognise this man?
We are appealing for information after a shop worker was threatened with a knife in a robbery in Tamworth recently.
We were called at 3.50pm on Sunday 8th September, to the Morrisons Daily store in Ellerbeck, Stonydelph, following reports of a man entering with a large knife.
The suspect approached a cashier and demanded the till be opened, before making off with a quantity of cash.
The cashier, a woman in her 60s, was left shaken but unhurt in the incident.
The suspect ran from the scene on foot in the direction of Pennine Way.
He is described as white, around 6ft tall, wearing a green face mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black jogging bottoms, trainers and gloves.
Our inquiries are ongoing and we are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time. We have released an image of a man who we would like to speak to in connection with the incident. We know the image is not the best quality but we hope someone may recognise him and his distinctive gloves.
We would like to speak to anyone who saw a man matching our description, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage of Pennine Way or side streets near to Ellerbeck around the time of the offence.
