MALE ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO PROVIDE A BREATH TEST

On 20/12/2024 at around 01:15 officers responded to a report of a suspected drink driver in a grey Citreon C4.

Officers located the vehicle at McDonald's on Watling Street and suspected the driver to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs. The driver refused to conduct a roadside breath test or swipe and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

The 36 year old male, from Tamworth, was further arrested in custody for failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

He has since been released on bail and will be due in court in the new year.
